Since opening the Wood River Valley’s first sober house in 2018, Men’s Second Chance Living (MSCL) has been committed to helping men struggling with substance use find success in their recovery and achieve long-term sobriety. Due to the growing demand for our services, we opened a second house in 2022, allowing us to support over 32 men annually as they regain independence, rebuild family relationships, and reconnect with their community.

As the demand for housing increases we now offer transitional living to four men who have completed our sober living program.

We provide comprehensive wraparound services that address the financial, emotional, and physical needs of the men we serve.

At MSCL, we are dedicated to helping men build sustainable, fulfilling lives as they move forward on their recovery journey.

Our programs include:

SOBER LIVING PROGAM: Providing safe, sober, secure, and comfortable housing for men in recovery COMPASSION PROGRAM: Supporting emergency needs and continuing education
WELLNESS PROGRAM: Offering behavioral health support, medical, dental, and vision services MATCHED SAVINGS PROGRAM: Providing a financial literacy initiative to encourage financial independence

With over 400 members, the WRPA builds community through the sport of pickleball.

We build community through the sport of pickleball.

With over 400 members ranging in age from 18-92, The Wood River Pickleball Alliance fosters a healthy social environment where people build friendships, learn, compete, and experience the joys of the sport. The BIG WOOD Pickleball league, FREE weekly clinics, daily open play, local competitive tournaments and the annual Season-Opener Picnic connects hundreds of people in our community.

We send kids to college.

Higher education such as college and trade-schools are part of the American Dream. The Wood River Pickleball Alliance is proud to implement a first-of-its-kind Pickleball Alliance scholarship program for high school students in Blaine County, enabling teenagers to achieve their higher education and trade school ambitions which may have otherwise been unachievable.

We promote healthy living & safe places to play.

Pickleball is the fastest growing community sport in the US and The Wood River Pickleball Alliance helps meet the growing demand by working with local governments and organizations to invest in and promote greater access, and more safe places to play in the Wood River Valley. We provide nets, paddles, balls, signage, starter packs for schools, encourage respectful play, and coordinate valley-wide communications.
