MSCL Legends Pickleball Weekend
THE pickleball weekend of the year
The Men’s Second Chance Living (MSCL) Pickleball Weekend is a multi-day event featuring tournaments, clinics, and exhibitions from some of the best pickleball players in the country.
The weekend features:
● Pickleball Clinics held by Senior Pickleball Professionals
● The SUN VALLEY Invitational Pickleball Tournament
● A VIP welcome cocktail party
● MSCL Fundraising Pickleball Pro-Am Tournament
● Legends Pickleball Exhibition and Dinner
● Legends Pro-Am
All proceeds benefit two local Valley charities that support Wood River Valley community programs. There are both free-to-the-public and exclusive private events included in this spectacular weekend event. Don’t miss out! Come play, watch and cheer on the best players in the country.

Clinics with the Pros
$200A rare opportunity to learn the best shots and strategies from the best Women's and Men's Sr. Pro Pickleball Players!
Session One: 10:00 am - Noon
Session Two: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
If the session of your choice is full, you will be placed on a waiting list. If someone cancels, you will automatically be placed in the session and charged for the event.

Sun Valley Pickleball Invitational
Open to the publicHosted by The Valley Club, this event is free to the public and is a great opportunity to cheer on the Pro players as they compete in doubles and mixed doubles matches.

Saturday, August 2
MSCL Pro-Am Tournament
$250Be one of the 64 players that gets to compete with your Sr. Pro player coach. Teams of 4 will play for fun and prizes.
11:00 am - 3:00 pm
If the tournament is full, you will be placed on a waiting list. If someone cancels, you will automatically be placed in the tournament and charged for the event.
Legends Dinner & Exhibition
$400Enjoy signature cocktails while you experience the pickleball match of the year between the Tennis Legends. Then relax with a dinner made exclusively for you by the Sun Valley Culinary School Institute chefs.
5:30 pm - 9:30 pm
If the dinner and exhibition is sold out, you will be placed on a waiting list. If someone cancels, you will automatically be placed on the invitation list and charged for the event.

Legends Pro-Am Tournament
Open to the publicHosted by The Valley Club, this event is free to the public and is a great opportunity to sit or stand court-side to watch the Tennis Legends play with the lucky bidders from the Saturday night dinner.

Open to the publicHosted by The Valley Club, this event is free to the public and is a great opportunity to see the culmination of an excitement filled weekend that supported two great local charities. The Pros will bring their best shots out as they compete for prize money and bragging rights.

Clinics
The Senior Professionals Pickleball players taught their favorite shots and techniques for two hours. The clinics were hosted by The Valley Club and all proceeds went to the two charities.

Night on the Town
After a day of donating their time at clinics hosted by The Valley Club, the pros had a chance to unwind and mingle with family & new friends at a local restaurant in Ketchum.

Senior Invitational
The Sun Valley Senior Pro Invitational kicked off the activities on Friday as Team McEnroe, Team Pernfors, Team Van Patten and Team Wilander, 20 players in all, competed for seeding spots for Sunday’s final event.

Cocktail Party
Sponsors, VIP supporters, Legends, the Pickleball Sr. Professionals and their spouses attended an invitation only event with a relaxing opportunity for casual conversation, cocktails and yummy hors d’oeuvres provided by the local food establishment, RASBERRYS.

MSCL Pro-Am Fundraiser
This is where it all started. Saturday was the third annual Men’s Second Chance Living (MSCL) Pro-Am hosted by The Valley Club. 16 of the visiting Sr Pro Professional Pickleball players were team captains, playing with each of their 4 team members and provided strategy and support throughout the 4 hour event.

Legends Exhibition & Dinner
Hosted at an exclusive home along the Big Wood River, the evening started with specialty cocktails followed by a Pickleball exhibit by the tennis legends. Great pickleball play was supported by cheers, and a standing ovation brought the exhibition to a close.

Legends Pro-Am
Four players bid on playing a game with each of the legends in what turned out to be a fun and competitive Pro-Am round robin. This event was free to the public and was a great opportunity to sit or stand court-side to watch McEnroe, Pernfors, Van Patten, and Wilander up close and in person.

Senior Pro Team Event
For the final matches of the event, the pros went head-to-head for bragging rights and the championship in an electrifying pickleball tournament. Each player showcased their unique skills and strategies, delivering an intense showcase of rallies and quick reflexes. The weekend not only highlighted the excitement of pickleball but also reinforced the players' commitment to giving back to the community.
Why did we team up?
Men’s Second Chance Living partnered with the Wood River Pickleball Alliance to expand the MSCL pickleball fundraiser tournament that started in 2021.
We are proud to state that through our collaboration, the fundraiser reached tremendous success and was noted to be “the event of the summer!” Our partnership stems from a shared vision to enliven the Wood River Valley, combining the thrill of pickleball with the noble cause of supporting these two local nonprofits. This year, The MSCL Legends Pickleball Weekend will combine exhibition play, clinics, and matches featuring top celebrities and senior pickleball pros from across the country. This weekend is not just about showcasing exceptional talent; it is also about rallying together to fund and spotlight the vital work of Men’s Second Chance Living and the Wood River Pickleball Alliance throughout the community.
